Paris Flea Market

I have read about flea markets in Paris and it just looked like something I needed to discover. It's basically a big antique market. We went to Le Puces De Saint Ouen. The market is 7 hectares (17 acres approximately). We took the metro to arr 18 which is the "bad neighborhood".

We were actually looking for a small table for our apartment. We found one very cute table, but it was 100€ and one of the leaves didn't stay up. Soooo we just walked around and looked. The prices were a little higher than I wanted to spend. There was this one cute table but it was 260€, I wanted to spend about 50€.

Metro Cite Station

This entire store was just silver.
Coffee Grinders

I really wanted this, but it was 360€
How beautiful is this fireplace.
It's blurry, but it's a bed! I would have loved this as a kid.

I can't wait to go back. Need to bring more money next time!!

It snowed in Paris

Today it snowed in Paris!! This is the first year that it snowed in 5 years!! There was snow on the ground when we arrived on Thursday. Today was the first time in 7 years that I've seen it snow.

Hey look we live right up there in the attic :) I'm pointing to our kitchen window.

I was cold and that was the best pose I could come up with!!!

This is at the edge of Île Saint Louis and we look at it every time we look out our window.

Tomorrow we are going to Puce de Saint Ouen Antique Market!! I'll post pictures later.

First Week in Paris

Our first week in Paris did not go as planned. I got sick and we really didn't do anything except go to the grocery store and the boulangerie. We did make it to BHV, which is a large department store, and we went to Monoprix, which I call a petit super target. I may have been sick, but we needed things like pillows, space heater, things like that.

I had plans of going to the Louvre, walking around Paris, eating at cafés, well that didn't happen. Luckily we are going back in 3 days!

One thing I did do everyday, was look out at the river. Our apartment maybe on the 6th floor, with a small elevator, I am claustrophobic so I walk up the stairs. Not a fun thing to do when you are sick. Our apartment maybe very small. Our apartment may need new furniture, HOWEVER look at that view.

We have to decide in the next six months whether we are going to stay in this apartment or find something else. This view is hard to pass up.

I'll be posting more next week about our trip! I have a walking tour planned. We want to go to Disneyland Paris, but it's going to be cold. And we will be going to museums!
